Mangaung Metro Police seek help from the public to find two missing victims. One went missing. The other kidnapped by the fake police.
A case of kidnapping was opened on Monday, 30 October 2023 after Lesego Mamello Motaung (22) was reported missing by her aunt at Parkweg police station. Lesego is not yet found.
Another case docket of kidnapping was opened at Kagisanong police station. Lerato Masiu (23) was last seen by her mother on Thursday 16 November 2023 at about 12:30.
Lerato left home with an unknown African male pretending to be an investigation officer.
The police would like to warn community members active on social media networks to avoid engagement with strangers.
Stalkers study personal information of victims such as location, frequent movements and residential addresses on social media networks.
