Former Mafube Local Municipality Mayor Jabulani Sigasa is back on the political battlefield, returning as the African National Congress (ANC) Ward 1 councillor candidate in Ntswanatsatsi, Cornelia, ahead of the November 2026 Local Government Elections.
After several years away from active public politics, Sigasa has made a political comeback following the ANC’s candidate selection processes, coupled with what can be described as community support in his ward and calls for his return.
The veteran ANC politician previously served as Mayor of Mafube Local Municipality and as ANC Fezile Dabi Regional Chairperson, giving him considerable political experience in the region and in that municipality.
