Sundowns and Pirates secure win while Chiefs play to a draw in the continental tournaments

Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates emerged victorious in the African continental games played this week. Kaizer Chiefs on the other hand played to a goalless draw.

Sundowns beat TP Mazembe 1- 0 on Tuesday evening to qualify for CAF Champions League quarter-finals with two games still to play in Group B.

On the same day, Kaizer Chiefs were held to a goalless draw in their CAF Champions League Group C clash against Angolan side Petro de Luanda at the Estadio 11 de Novembro.

In the CAF Confederation Cup Group A match played at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday evening, Pirates emerged winners as they beat the Nigerian club, Enyimba FC 2 – 1.
