A Sasolburg woman who provides guidance and support to hurting women and girls got recognition for her work, when she scooped multiple awards at the Thuba Pelo Mosadi Woman of Worth Awards last month. Thuba Pelo Mosadi Women of Worth Awards are aimed at appreciating and acknowledging women as valuable people in different spaces within the society.
Matshepo Kompe was is in the top 10 in two different categories of a Public Choice Award and Social Media Award. In the Social Media Award Kompe was the 2nd runner-up, and she further claimed another four awards for being an extraordinary women who selflessly volunteers her time to serve and making a beautiful difference to the community. A women who has achieved success in her career path and has demonstrated commitment to the success of other women and girls.
The awards are:

- Innovator Award
- Influencer Award
- Health and Wellness Advocate Award
On her achievement Kompe said she dedicates her Social Media Award to all people who saw the potential in her, and took their time and money to vote for her. “I appreciated a lot love, support and courage the people shown to me, and I would like to thank each and everyone of them. From now on Kompe said the work continues. “From now my work continue, ill be working with various non-governmental organisations focusing on issues of women and children including Gender Based Violence and I will also taking part in the 16 days of activism against the abuse of women and children amongst other projects I will be part of.
