Ten schools from the Free State competed in the Provincial Moot Court Oral Rounds Finals for a place in the National Finals in Gauteng from 30 September – 04 October 2026. The Free State Department of Education has described the competition as a major milestone in the province.
After impressive presentation of heads of argument before the bench, four schools emerged as winners to represent the Free State:
1. *Phehello Secondary* (Lejweleputswa – Odendaalsrus) – Kamohelo Moshodi & Aumane Lesenyeho
2. *Meloding Secondary* (Lejweleputswa – Virginia) – Sesona Kholisile & Aviwe Makaleni
3. *Brebner High* (Mangaung – Bloemfontein) – Zhiglene de Vries & Chantelle Philemon
4. *Grey College* (Mangaung – Bloemfontein) – Luyanda Lesejane & Mohau Makhanya
