It was an affair of Tshwane and Ngwathe as the Democratic Alliance’s Tshwane Mayoral Candidate Cilliers Brink visited Parys.
The purpose of the visit was for an engagement with the community in the build-up to the November Local Government Elections.
This community engagement session was held on 31 August 2026 in Parys.
Brink was joined by the party’s Mayoral Candidate in that Municipality Carina Serfontein.
The party said the discussion was on how municipalities can be turned around when they are governed and managed well, the realities and lessons of coalition government, and why splitting the vote has a major impact — including the important role of PR votes in determining the final outcome of an election.
