The Free State MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) and Human Settlements, Mr Saki Mokoena, today conducted an oversight visit and handed over completed Breaking New Ground (BNG) houses and title deeds to deserving beneficiaries in Thabong, Matjhabeng Local Municipality.
The handover forms part of the Department’s Two-Room Rectification Programme, aimed at replacing inadequate two-room structures with quality homes that provide families with safety, dignity and improved living conditions.
A total of 11 houses have been completed, with the completed units including solar panels, further supporting the Department’s commitment to sustainable and dignified human settlements.
The Department said it remains committed to accelerating housing delivery, improving living conditions and ensuring that communities receive quality and sustainable human settlements.
