Hunt is still on for wee hours of the morning Villiers ATM bomb gang

Organized Crime Unit in the Free State is on the lookout for Suspects in Villiers ATM bombings.

The Free State Province Organised Crime, Murder and Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance to locate suspects involved in ATM bombings that occurred on Monday, 23 March 2026, at approximately 01:45 at a Grocery store in Villiers.

Two ATMs in the area were targeted, while a third was not affected. A group of about seven unknown suspects, possibly traveling in a white 7-seater vehicle (Toyota or Suzuki), with an unknown registration number, are believed to be involved.

Shots were fired at responding security personnel and police, fortunately with no injuries reported. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
