Based in Zamdela Sasolburg, Hashtag 13 Entertainment is a youth organization dedicated at promoting and nurturing diverse art forms, with strong focus on Pantsula, Gumboots dance, as well as theatrical performances.
This professional arts performing Non-Profit Organization was registered in 2022, with the mission of providing high quality performing arts opportunities for young people within the community while fostering social engagement and education through active participation in the arts.
“We are committed to ensuring that our activities benefit the broader community, promoting cultural exchange, and introducing innovative elements of performing arts while celebrating traditional heritage. Our vision is to build a network that supports young artists in professionalizing and advancing their craft” said Tshepang Matebesi, Founder and Chairperson of the organization.
Matebesi said some of the objectives of the organization are that of empowering and developing young artists through structured training and performing opportunities, Promote cultural preservation and innovation by integrating traditional and contemporary art forms, Enhance community engagement through educational outreach and collaborative projects, and also Create platforms for emerging talents to showcase their skills locally, nationally and internationally.
