Metsimaholo Executive Mayor Cllr Jack Malindi has kick-started a 100 days outreach and service delivery program at Metsimaholo in Oranjeville, on the 1st December 2023. The launch of the program also coincided with the Commemoration of the Word Aids Day.
Malindi was flanked by Members of Mayoral Committee (MAYCO), Councillors, Acting Municipal Manager Basi Motloung, Officials and different stakeholders, such as South African Police Service (SAPS), National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa (NPA), Social Development Department and Health Department.
The Executive Mayor appreciated the work being done by various stakeholders of Metsimaholo Municipality. In his address to the community Malindi said despite financial challenges faced by the municipality they are still able to provide basic services to the community.
“As the community your suggestions towards building a capable municipality will be highly appreciated,” he said.
The outreach and service delivery activities included eradicating and cleaning of illegal dumping sites, patching of potholes, Traffic Law Enforcement, public education on fire and disaster, HIV/ AIDS Day Commemoration and Candle Light.
100 Days for Mayoral Outreach and Service Delivery Program will be rolled out to other places including all the Townships in the Metsimaholo municipal area.
