A Sasolburg woman who provides guidance and support to hurting women and girls got recognition for her work when she received nomination in Thuba Pelo Mosadi Woman of Worth Awards.
Matshepo Kompe who is in the top 10 has made it in two different categories of this awards. The categories are Public Choice Award and Social Media Award.
Thuba Pelo Mosadi Women of Worth Awards are aimed at appreciating and acknowledging women as valuable people in different spaces within the society. She was nominated among many other women in the Woman of Worth Award

Thuba Pelo Mosadi Women of Worth Awards are the brainchild of Tebogo “Unathi” Nare. “It’s always worthwhile to make others aware of their worth,” said Nare.
Calls for nomination in this awards where for the powerful women, who deserve public recognition.
“Nominating a woman, you know is one of the most powerful ways to appreciate and acknowledge her, in a way that lets her know she MATTERS. Your nomination is something she will remember and be impacted by forever,” said Nare.
Kompe who is a VIP Protector by profession said she is grateful for her nomination and will continue contributing and working with the community on many challenges they are facing.
“My focus is mainly on women and girls who are going through a lot of challenges in their lives including widows, women who are going through divorce etc. The work that I’m doing is mainly for man and being to adapt to such kind of a work also motivated me” said Kompe.
The 2023 Women of Worth Awards ceremony will be held in Mpumalanga next month.

Nare said the name “Thuba Pelo Mosadi” was inspired by women who didn’t have a voice or platform to “SPEAK OUT”, “therefore, we promote women to increase the volume for others to hear.”
