Residents were informed that 1,009 serviced sites have been allocated using an approved criteria-based approach to ensure equitable access to housing opportunities.
The allocation comprises:
* 100 sites for senior citizens aged 60 years and above
* 40 sites for people living with disabilities
* 40 sites for young families
* 640 sites allocated to the eligible community
The MEC emphasised that the allocation process is designed to ensure fairness, transparency and inclusivity, while prioritising vulnerable groups and responding to the housing needs of the broader community.
