Four suspects aged between 18 and 32 are expected to appear before the Sasolburg Magistrate’s Court following their arrest for possession of suspected stolen copper cable and suspected stolen property on Tuesday, 31 March 2026.
Members of the Fezile Dabi Infrastructure Task Team, working together with the Fezile Dabi Trio Task Team, acted on information received at approximately 16:00 regarding possible stolen copper cables.
The information led members to a residence in Chris Hani, where two male suspects, aged 18 and 28, were found inside a shack in possession of suspected stolen copper cables with an estimated value of R13 500.
Members proceeded to Cargo Informal Settlement, where two additional male suspects, aged 32, were found in possession of suspected stolen property after failing to provide a satisfactory explanation for their possession of the items.
All four suspects are expected to appear before the Sasolburg Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of possession of stolen copper cable and possession of suspected stolen property.
