Parys SAPS Launch Manhunt after ATM Bombing

Police in Parys have launched a manhunt following a business robbery and ATM bombing at a local garage, in the early hours of Monday, 15 September 2025.

​It is alleged that at approximately 02:00, a white Mahindra vehicle entered the premises. A suspect, who was in the back of the bakkie, began firing shots into the air, forcing employees who were cleaning the forecourt to lie on the ground.

​While the employees were on the ground, an explosion was heard from inside the store. The suspects then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the ATM and safes had been bombed. No arrests have been made, and cases of business robbery and ATM bombing have been opened for further investigation.
