Tumahole Police in Parys in the Free State are in search for a mother of a new-born baby girl who was found by members of the public abandoned in the street. The baby girl that was found alive.
Police said on Monday morning at about 06:30, members of the community came to the Tumahole Police Station to report an abandoned baby. Upon further investigation, the baby was found covered in blankets and alive in the street near Lusaka Section in Tumahole, Parys in the Free State.
She was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
At this stage, it is unknown who the mother of this baby girl is. The community is asked to assist the police in locating the mother. A case of child abandonment is being investigated.
