Police in Hennenman in the Free State have arrested for suspects following an attack on a 56-year-old farmer and his 26-year-old son at their farm in Swartpan last month.
According to the police the farmer was fatally shot in the head whist the son was stabbed at the back and is admitted at a local hospital.
Police Spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele said Hennenman Detectives and Crime Prevention unit members have worked round the clock to find the suspects following the attack.
He said members conducted a crime intelligence led operation which led to the arrest of four suspects in Phomolong, Hennenman, on Friday night.
“One of the suspects aged 47 was founded hanged in his cell in the early hours of the morning today. The other three suspects who are in their thirties will appear at Hennenman Magistrate court soon on charges of murder and house robbery,”said Makhele.
