Schools in and around Zamdela, can brace themselves for an exciting opportunity to be part of the Mzansi School Dance Competition, that will be starting with its activations next week at Cedar Secondary School.
Pitso Tshabalala, the Founder of this initiative said the aim of the Mzansi School Dance Competition is to introduce Dancing Competition in schools as it has now become a professional career and is also part of the curriculum in Life Orientation subject.

“This Competition will make its first debut in Zamdela, particularly Secondary Schools. Primary schools are not left out as they will be next after secondary schools. The 2nd phase of the competition will be focusing on Sasolburg High schools and primaries” said Tshabalala.
After activations, the schools will select its best 10 dancers to compete in the finals that are scheduled for the 20th of June 2026. There are prizes for the winning schools as well as for the competing learners.
