Puisano – Ditaba Online is an Online Community News service covering community news, events, activities, interests and all community-based happenings in the Northern – Eastern parts of the Free State Province in the district municipalities of Fezile Dabi and Thabo Mofutsanyana.
It gives voice to the voiceless and lets community members to have a dialogue among themselves about themselves.
The Online News is about the unearthing and untapping the hidden talent in different communities. It tells the ordinary stories of the ordinary citizens. It lets the community to understand itself and appreciate itself as a community.
It is the news about community initiatives and ventures that bring solutions to the various ills that affects the society such as poverty, unemployment, crime, violence, illiteracy, injustices and inequalities. It tells of the community development stories. It tells of stories of ordinary citizens who made it against all odds. It tells the stories of heroes and heroines in the community.
Puisano-Ditaba Online News also serves as development communication channel bringing information that empowers the communities. Information on entrepreneurship opportunities, bursaries, life skills, education, leadership and on day-to-day needs of individuals.
It also covers news on service delivery issue to keep the communities informed on what their municipalites, government departments and other state institutions are doing to bring services to the people. This requires that the municipalities, government departments and other state institutions are held accountable on their promises and mandates.
The Online News also have a page dedicated to News in Sesotho. Titled DITABA, the page will cover news told and written in Sesotho, which is the dominant language in the Free State Province.
