The South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Free State joined family, friends, colleagues, community members, and members of the media fraternity in bidding farewell to Sergeant Mahlomola Peter Kareli at his official funeral service at Kananelo High School in Kroonstad.
The service was attended by senior SAPS management, including the Free State Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Solly Lesia, and Deputy National Commissioner Lieutenant General Mosikili from National Head Office.
Captain (Rev) Monyaki from Provincial Employee Health and Wellness led the funeral service with a prayer for strength, comfort, and peace for the bereaved family, friends, colleagues, and all those mourning the passing of Sergeant Kareli.
Sergeant Kareli was remembered as a dedicated police official, communicator, colleague, friend, and family man who made a meaningful contribution to the SAPS and the communities he served. He leaves behind a legacy of dedicated service to the SAPS, his colleagues, the media fraternity, and the communities he served. The SAPS extends its sincere condolences to his wife, children, parents, relatives, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.
