Ms Dieketseng Khubeka, the owner of McKay Haircare Products from Zamdela, has been crowned the winner of the business pitching competition, where she scooped R50,000 to accelerate her business.
TEA – Township Entrepreneur’s Alliance (TEA), in partnership with DESTEA, Nedbank, and Brand South Africa, held Kasi Business Workshop in Zamdela Community Hall – Sasolburg, Free State, on Saturday 28th February 2026.
The said business workshop was intended to introduce basic systems that support daily operations and strengthen decision-making through the discipline of tracking sales and performance. TEA is a National Township based initiative that creates platforms for learning, information sharing, brand engagement, and networking. It further connects government, corporate SA, and entrepreneurs together. It also has a national footprint with 9 years in operation.

This initiative was held under theme “Productivity Hacks” to help business owners take control of their day to day operations by prioritising income generating activities, planning ahead with intention and building simple routines that improve consistency and reduce operational pressure.
Various small business exhibitors from Zamdela, Sasolburg, had the opportunity to sell and showcase their products. Participants gained insight into managing their time more effectively, protecting peak working hours, limiting distractions, and using their mobile phones as purposeful business tools rather than interruptions.
