The Fezile Dabi district station commanders and their members gathered at the Harry Gwala Multipurpose Center in Zamdela to celebrate Heritage Day. The district, comprising 21 police stations, was divided into ten groups, each showcasing their unique cultural heritage through captivating presentations.
Colonel Galant, Station Commander of Sasolburg, conveyed the purpose of the day, highlighting the importance of embracing and celebrating the diverse cultural heritage that unites us as South Africans.
The judges from the Department of Education were treated to a spectacular display of creativity, mouth-watering cultural food, and energetic song and dance performances. This vibrant celebration not only showcased the district’s rich cultural diversity but also encouraged team building among the management and members.
The overall winners were Xitsonga cultural group, which was made of the following stations: Oranjeville SAPS, Viljoensdrif SAPS, and Deneysville SAPS.
