Mamelodi Sundowns is hoping to turn down a 2 goal deficit when they meet Egyptian giants, Al Ahly, tomorrow in the second leg of Caf Champions League quarterfinals.
Pinning their hopes on faith, Sundowns will be entering the field with nothing else but a possibility of win. Sundowns lost 2 – 0 in the first leg game, which was played in Cairo this past Saturday.
Sundowns coach, Manqoba Mngqithi believes that beating Egyptian Giants is a possibility considering their excellent performance in Egypt.
“We have a bigger responsibility to make sure that at the end of the day, we achieve the outcome that we want. I am very confident and optimistic that if we apply ourselves very well and stay focused, improve on the kind of mistakes that we made. When we don’t make those kinds of mistakes we win matches.” he said.
The game takes place tomorrow, Saturday 22 May Mamelodi Sundowns play at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium, Kick-off is 15h00.
Elsewhere in Africa, Kaizer Chiefs will be looking forward to consolidate their 4 goal gap against Simba in the very same tournament of the Caf Champions League.
In the first leg game that was also played last week Saturday, Chiefs hammered Simba 4 – 0.
