Despite living with Muscular Dystrophy for years and undergoing multiple operations, Tanduka Praise Muchuweni, from Jan Kriel School in the Western Cape, has risen beyond those challenges to claim the position of the Top Learner with Special Educational Needs, during the the 2025 NSC Matric Results Announcement on Monday the 12th January 2025.
Jan Kriel School has described Takunda’s achievement as a historic achievement. The school said this extraordinary achievement is a powerful reminder that with determination, support and belief, there are no limits to what learners can achieve.
