With continuing challenges of power outages within the area, the Metsimaholo municipality has once again been forced to another desperate call of apology and explanation, on Wednesday evening due to the ongoing electricity outages in the area.
This time the whole of Zamdela was experiencing what the municipality called ‘a total electricity outage’. The municipality said its technical team is working around the clock to solve the problem.
“A cable located behind the main panel has burned-out resulting in the spread of carbon across all panels” said the municipality in a statement. Due to the severity and complexity of the damage we are in a process of appointing a specialized service provider to assist with the problem”.
