Nursing Graduates encouraged to carry spirit of empathy and integrity

Free State MEC for Health, Mr. Monyatso Mahlatsi, Celebrated Nursing Graduates in QwaQwa Free State on Thursday, June 5, 2025. The Free State School of Nursing held its graduation ceremony where MEC for Health, Mr. Monyatso Mahlatsi, congratulated 305 new nursing graduates.

Graduates awarded qualifications across three categories: 42 Advanced Diplomas in Midwifery, 134 Diplomas in General Nursing, and 129 Higher Certificates in Auxiliary Nursing.

MEC Mahlatsi acknowledged the hard work, dedication, and resilience that the graduates displayed throughout their studies and emphasized the profound nature of the nursing profession, describing it as “more than a profession—it’s a calling to care wholeheartedly for those in need,” a sentiment inspired by the legacy of Florence Nightingale.
