Expectations are high today as, Pule Molete Foundation Festive Soccer Tournament Kicks-Off at Mapetla Sports Ground in Mokwallo Vredefort. This Festive Soccer Tournament,which is celebrating its 6th year, started back in 2020 and will run for 8 days, with teams from different towns joining this year’s tournament.
Speaking to Puisano news, the founder of the tournament Pule Molete said the tournament starts on this ‘Day of Reconciliation’ purposely so, as it resonates with the message of the foundation to use these games to advance efforts of promoting and fostering reconciliation and unity amongst all the people. “With these games we are also doing our best to keep young people busy and away from the streets where they might be tempted and involve themselves in acts of alcohol and drug abuse, and many other unwanted acts that might put their lives at risk” said Molete.
Teams such as Black Swallows(Parys), Continental (Potchefstroom), Semomonane(Deneysville), Carara(Wesselsbroon), Vultures (Frankfort), Two 4 Joy, Seven Stars, Aston Villa and Setsokotsane, and others will form part of the tournament.
