Free State Education MEC Dr. Mamiki Maboya continued her Town Based Strategy for Underperforming Schools in the Fezile Dabi District. MEC Maboya had yesterday the 05th March visited Rehauhetswe, Kgolagano and Thabang Secondary Schools in Rammulotsi, Viljoenskroon.
The department’s Town Based Strategy is underpinned by the province’s definition of underperformance which is 85% pass and below in the NSC. Where two or more Schools in a specific town perform below that rate; the MEC has been criss-crossing the province to motivate, guide and support them.
The MEC facilitates frank and empowering dialogue between herself, school leadership and educators. Addressing all things critical to quality teaching and learning; from curriculum strategy to the personal wellbeing of educators and learners.
