Those are the words of the Democratic Alliance (DA) in the Helen Suzan Region as the party donated toys to the Itsoseng Day Care Centre in Amelia in Sasolburg in the Metsimaholo Local Municipality. The day care centre is run by Moloi family.
DA Constituency Coordinator in the Helen Suzman Region, Stone Makhema, said the donation of those toys was another way from the DA to say of saying,”It takes a village to raise a child”. And he described the DA as part of that village.
“Because we are close to the communities and not to ourselves, friends and relatives, we were able to identify the need and implement the cause. More than 50 toys were donated,” said Makhema.
He continued to explained that his party has taken upon itself to assist communities and societal groups in need of resources and tools in order for them to succeed in their missions.
“Earlier in March, we participated by donating clothes to the needy in Amelia, especially in the Baipehing section. More that 150 individuals came and chose clothes of their liking and it was really grateful to see smiles on their faces.
“The month of April also marks the celebration of Freedom day. Freedom day under the ANC cannot be celebrated freely as millions out there are still living in the poor conditions, with no work and resources as promised by the ruling party in so many years,” said Makhema.
