Ikemele Youth Development (NPC) and Hashtag 13 Entertainment, in Zamdela Sasolburg, were both amongst organizations visited on the 18th March 2026, by the Free State Department of Social Development, through the Directorate of Community Development.
The purpose of the visits to these funded NPOs by the department, was to monitor and evaluate programme implementation, assess the impact of services rendered to young people, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and provide support to strengthen organisational sustainability.
Ikemele Youth Development (NPC), continues to empower youth through digital skills training, education support, and employment readiness programmes, while Hashtag 13 Entertainment, a dynamic performing arts organisation nurture young talent through dance, theatre, and community engagement.
These visits highlight the Department’s ongoing commitment to supporting youth development initiatives and ensuring that funded organisations continue to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
