The Department of Water and Sanitation in the Free State successfully hosted ‘Baswa le Meetse’ (BLM) Competitions for school learners in intermediate phase, at various districts of the province.
BLM program is a Department of Water and Sanitation Education Program (WSEP) aimed at intermediate school learners aimed at educating them on the water resource management, promoting water use efficiency, as well as including health and hygiene after the use of ablution facilities.
Participating learners were encouraged to identify any water and sanitation project and express it in one of the five categories of Music, Poetry and Praise, developing a Poster Drama.
The following winners will be representing their respective Districts at the Provincial Competitions to be held in Bloemfontein, Mangaung Metro. The provincial winners will also represent the Province at the National Adjudications of the WSEP, under the category of Baswa Le Meetse to be hosted in Gauteng.
