“These tourism growth and development opportunities will be
given material dimension in the Tourism Sector Masterplan currently being
finalised,” she said.

In her address the Premier also lamented the strained on economy
caused by COVID-19.

“When Covid-19 happened, our economy was strained. Economic
growth, unemployment, poverty and inequality were a challenge. Things are no
better.

“We are hard at work to revive the economy. But the road
ahead remains long. Through our economic reconstruction and recovery
interventions, we want to revitalise the economy and bring long-lasting
solutions to our challenges.

“Small and medium enterprises are the growth drivers of our economy. It is for this reason why we have introduced incentive schemes to support them,” said the Premier.
