Free State Premier, Honourable Sefora Ntombela has made changes to the Free State Provincial Government by appointing Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Social Development, Mamiki Qabathe as the acting MEC for Police, Roads and Transport.
The appointment of MEC Qabathe commenced on Wednesday and will end on 18 June 2021. Premier Ntombela has further appointed Ms. Mosa Tlali as the acting Head of Department (HOD) for the same department, following the precautionary suspension of Mr. Sipho Mtakati. Ms. Tlali will act as the HOD for a period of 60 days.
The Premier has also announced that Mr. Godfrey Mahlatsi has been appointed the acting HOD for the Department of Health while Ms. Masechaba Modise replaces him as the acting Head of Department for Treasury.
“All these changes are meant to positively enhance the administration of the Free State Provincial Government. I have no doubt that all the individuals will bring positive energy into their new responsibilities and help us build the Free State we want,” Premier Ntombela said.
