Known as the “The Scorpion Queen” in the boxing fraternity, female boxer Matshidiso “The Scorpion Queen” Mokebisi from Kroonstad, continues in her boxing journey collecting titles, and building a lasting legacy.
Also celebrated by the Free State Sport Academy, the 36-year-old Mokebisi fighting out in Bloemfontein, is a former South African Junior Feather-Weight and World Boxing Federation (WBF) International Champion.
“The Scorpion Queen” competes in the Junior Junior Feather Weight, Junior Bantam-Weight, Junior Feather-Weight, Light-Weight and the Junior-Light Weight Divisions.
Mokebisi’s Feather-weight Career stands at:19-16-2 (Wins-Losses-Draws), with 37 Total Fights, Since 2008.
Mokebisi’s last fight was on the 16th November 2025, winning against Tarisai Mutsau. The other title is the African Boxing Union (ABU) SADC Feather-weight.
Some of her notable fights include opponents such as Mariana Juarez From Mexico(2024), Nomusa Ngema (2023, 2024), Katie Healy, from United Kingdom (2022), and Chiedza Homakoma (Apr 2022), Winning by unanimous decision, retaining her SA and WBF junior featherweight titles.
