Minister of Health in South Africa Dr Aaron Motsoaledi has re-appointed Bishop Thabiso Mashiloane as a Council member of the Health Professions Council of South Africa(HPCS), for another five year term, effective from this month to 31st October 2030.
Mashiloane will continue to serve as a community representative on the Council bringing grassroots insights to the regulation of the health sector.
The Church Council and the Congregation of City of Love & Restoration – Full Gospel Church of God, in Zamdela Sasolburg, has congratulated Bishop Mashiloane on his appointment.
Council Secretary TJ Sekolanyane said “Bishop, we congratulate you on your re – appointment and we rejoice with you. You continue to make us proud and we are all inspired by your achievements and all that God is doing in your life.
I would like to reassure you of our pledge to continuously intercede for you as you fulfill your duties in the various Organisations you lead and manage. We wish you all the best as you diligently continue serving our burdened country”.
The HPCSA, together with the 12 Professional Boards under its ambit, is established to provide for control over the education, training, and registration for practicing of health professions registered under the Health Professions Act.
To protect the public and guide the professions, Council ensures that practitioners uphold and maintain professional and ethical standards within the health professions and ensure that the investigation of complaints concerning practitioners is carried out and see to it that disciplinary action is taken against persons who fail to act accordingly.
