Tumahole SAPS has been awarded the best station of the year award, in the Fezile Dabi District 2025 Annual Excellence Awards Ceremony held at the Meriting Events in Vanderbijlpark.
The event was graced by the presence of the Free State Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane, who was accompanied by the Fezile Dabi District Commissioner, Major General Makubo.
Also present were Captain (Rev) Letsheleha and the Member of the Mayoral Committee, Mr. Oupa Matwa, who welcomed attendees.
The Fezile Dabi District CPF Chairperson, Mr. Williams, along with Mr. Jimmy Shi from the South Africa Free State Fujian Overseas Chinese Association, delivered messages of support to the award recipients.
Major General Makubo delivered the purpose of the event, which was to acknowledge and celebrate outstanding performance within the district. Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane
applauded the district for its impact in the fight against crime and emphasized the importance of policing in partnership with communities, particularly in the fight against Gender-Based Violence.
The Bravery Award was presented to Constable M. Mhlambi, along with a laptop sponsored by Mr. Jimmy Shi. Awards were presented in various categories, including Administration, Vispol and Operations, and Specialized Units.
