The Democratic Alliance (DA) has done it again in Metsimaholo Local Municipality in the Free State Province.
It has retained its seat after winning the by-elections held in this hung municipality on Wednesday.
Johannes Hendrik Petrus Human is now the new Metsimaholo Ward 14 Councillor.
The party has retained the seat it won in the 2021 Local Government Elections with 59.51% of the total votes cast, compared to 75.82% during the 2021 Municipal Elections. Voter turnout was 35.3%.
